Motorola Razr 5G review
Motorola Razr 5G is a premium flagship flip-phone from the house of Lenovo-owned Motorola. This is Motorola’s foldable phone with a durable hinge. The main highlighted feature on the phone is its 6.2-inch foldable screen and the other 2.7-inch gOLED display for notifications. Under the hood, the phone is backed by a Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone is backed by a 2,800 mAh battery supported by an 18W rapid charger out of the box.
Motorola Razr 5G gives nostalgia with its design. The phone is foldable and offers a second-display for notifications. Motorola uses a durable hinge that is hidden very well. When opened, Motorola Razr has a polycarbonate back panel and when folded the phone brings a glass front. The screen has a protection of Gorilla Glass 5 that protects it from scratches and unwanted falls. Unfolded Razr 5G has 169mm of height and 7.9mm of thickness whereas folded Motorola Razr 5G has 91mm of height and 16mm of thickness. The phone tips the bar at 190grams.
Motorola Razr 5G brings a 6.2-inch color pOLED foldable screen. The display has an FHD+ resolution of 876x2142px with a pixel density of 374PPI. The display has thick bezels around which results in 70% of screen to body ratio. Judging upon the resolution and PPI, the display is expected to produce decent visuals and sharp images. When folded, Motorola Razr 5G brings a 2.7-inch gOLED display with a resolution of 600x800pixels. The second display can be used for notifications. The aspect ratio of the display is 4:3.
Motorola Razr 5G has a 48MP single rear camera with 26mm of wide lens and supported OIS. The phone supports Dual-LED dual-tone flash. Also, the camera app has auto-HDR mode and Panorama. You may expect quality pictures from the camera. For assisting selfies and video calls, a 20MP front camera is installed. Motorola Razr 5G is backed by a small 2,800mAh Li-Po battery and supports an 18W fast charger out of the box. The battery size is small and may disappoint buyers. However, at least a 4,000mAh battery would be better. Judging upon the battery size, a full day of power backup is expected under normal usage.
