Infinix Zero 8i review
Infinix Zero 8i is a new entry to the budget segment under Infinix’s Zero-8 series. Infinix Zero 8i includes a 6.6-inch IPS LCD multitouch display with an HD+(1080x2460px) resolution. For the camera performance, Infinix Zero 8i sports a 48MP quad rear-camera setup, and a 16MP front shooter. Under the hood, the phone houses an Helio P22 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Infinix Zero 8i is backed by a 4,400mAh battery.
Design
Infinix Zero 8i is solidly built and has a plastic finish back panel with a plastic side frame. The phone has 165mm of height and 8.7mm of thickness; and it tips the bar at 185 grams. For biometrics, it sports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Display
Infinix Zero 8i includes a 6.6-inch color IPS LCD multitouch display. The panel has an HD+(1080x2460px resolution with a pixel density of 480PPI. Visuals are expected to be sharp and clear with the given PPI. The display has a punch-hole notch with an aspect ratio of the phone is 20:9 which is a fair size for watching movies or gaming. Also, the screen to body ratio of the phone is 90%.
Camera
Infinix Zero 8i sports a quad rear camera setup. A 48MP primary sensor is followed by a 2MP macro sensor, a 2MP depth sensor with autofocus, and an AI camera. You can snap portrait shots and decent pictures using the camera, but expecting high-quality pictures might not be much.
Performance
Infinix Zero 8i is driven by MediaTek’s Helio P22 chipset with 8-performance cores. The phone runs on the Android 10 operating system with XOS6.0 on top. For the background performance and multitasks it is assisted with 4GB of RAM. The phone has an entry-level PowerVR GE8320 GPU for rendering the graphics. Useful sensors including Ambient Light, G-Sensor, Proximity, Gyroscope, E-Compass are present.
Battery
Infinix Zero 8i is backed by a 4,400mAh battery underneath. The battery size has been compromised compared to other Infinix entry-level phones. The battery supports a fast proprietary charger.
