Motorola Moto E7 Plus review

Moto E7 Plus is a budget smartphone from the house of Motorola which is owned by the Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo. Moto E7 Plus comes fitted with a 6.5-inch HD+ display. For optics, it sports a 48MP dual-rear shooter. Under the hood, there’s an entry-level Snapdragon 460 chipset integrated with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Motorola Moto E7 Plus is backed by a big non-removable 5,000mAh battery. Motorola is trying to blow life to its entry level smartphones.

Motorola Moto E7 Plus is solidly built and has a plastic back panel with plastic frames around it. The phone stands at approx 162mm of height and has an 8.5mm thickness. The volume rockers and the power button is placed on the right side of the phone. Also, a headphone jack lies at the top of the phone. Moto E7 Plus has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.


Moto E7 Plus comes with a 6.5-inch color IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch. This multi-touch panel has an HD+ resolution of 720x1600px with a pixel density of 273PPI on a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display. The screen has a fair size but with the given PPI, you can’t expect visuals to be that sharp and clear under daylight. Also, like most of the entry-level smartphone, it has a thick chin at the bottom.


Moto E7 Plus sports a set up of dual-rear camera that includes a 48MP primary shooter followed by a 2MP depth sensor with autofocus. Buyers can benefit from the depth sensor to capture shots like portraits. Adding more to the camera, the camera app also features Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus which may result in capturing decent shots. As far as the recording is concerned, buyers can shoot FHD 1080p videos @30fps. For selfies and video calls, the waterdrop notch houses an 8MP camera.

Motorola Moto E7 Plus is driven by Qualcomm’s entry-level Snapdragon 460 chipset with 8 performance cores. The phone runs on the Android 10 operating system. This Moto phone is assisted by 4GB of RAM to improve the background tasks or multitasking performance. For graphic rendering, it has an Adreno610 GPU which may result in average performance. The phone also includes user-friendly sensors like accelerometer, proximity, and compass. Moto E7 Plus has 64GB of internal storage capacity that can be used to store your favorite apps and games. Also, there’s an extra card slot for expanding the storage up to 512GB.


Motorola E7 Plus is backed by a big 5,000mAh non-removable Li-ion battery. Deciding upon the battery size, you may expect a day of power back up under average usage on the phone.
